I created two C&C maps a while ago, one an attempt at telling a story through a map, a second to make a fun, convoluted, competition map. I named the later after an old network game from the 90s called BOLO, which involved individual tank combat, some resource management, and capturing territory.

With the storytelling map I worked to re-purpose as much of the landscape as I creatively could, without showing seams. I did this in “BOLO” as well, but not to the same degree.
I am learning about how to add AI, and other scripting. I thought Apolyton was brilliant, am sorry it hasn’t been updated. I also wonder whether OpenRA could add a “day/night cycle” checkbox. I found that the night segments in Apolyton really changed gameplay.
